Gunmen ambushed a Karachi-bound auto carrying the Hazara family in the Choto area, some 40 kilometres south of Quetta, according to police.
As a result, a woman among four victims succumbed to their injuries while one other received wounds.
Four persons hailing from Hazara Community were going to Karachi from Quetta on Wednesday when unidentified miscreants showed in Mastung area and started at them, leaving four persons dead. The assailants escaped unhurt after carrying out the attack.
The police sources said was an incident of targetted killing, reports the Dawn.
Local police officials said the drive-by shooting took place on July 19 in the town of Mastung, about 75 kilometers south of the city of Quetta, Baluchistan's provincial capital.
On the other hand, Balochistan Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti strongly condemned the incident and termed it "against the social and tribal norms of Balochistan".
However, no group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
