The concert was expected to take place at the city's Minsk-Arena on Monday (17Jul17), but just hours before the band were expected on stage they posted a statement on their website announcing they were cancelling due to "band member illness".
Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan has been discharged from the 9th Minsk hospital and, according to doctors, he can continue participating in the band's world tour.
It quoted the Belarusian gig organiser, Andrey Alekseyev, as saying that the singer fell ill at 1530 local time.
The band said it would try to reschedule the concert in Minsk.
"We ask all fans holding tickets for tonight's show to stand by for further information regarding the rescheduling of the show and/or refunds".
On Monday Dave Gahan was rushed to the hospital with an intestinal disorder resulting from possible food poisoning.
Another fan was relieved that Gahan's illness wasn't more serious, adding: "I wonder what he thought about the Belarusian hospital, though".
Depeche Mode are now on massive world tour to promote their new album, Spirit.
It now looks likely that concerts scheduled for Kiev, Ukraine (July 19) and Warsaw, Poland (July 21) may also be affected.
