As expected, you can use the full range of effects and frames from the Facebook camera.
If you are a regular user of Facebook app's Camera tool, you might have started to see an option to create GIFs within the app. According to The Next Web the GIFs it creates last only "a few seconds". Now, the Facebook camera gets a new function that lets users create animated GIFs.
You can add the Facebook Camera GIFs you create to your Facebook Stories or just post them on your profile.
The new GIF mode in Facebook Camera was discovered by The Next Web's Director of Social Media Matt Navarra, who reported seeing a new GIF option on the top of Facebook camera. You will then be able to turn those videos and photos into GIF format and save them to your iOS device. The only downside to the GIF creator in Facebook on iOS is that it seems the GIF will only last a couple seconds. You also can't send them via other social media platforms, which means this feature, while very fun, won't really work outside of Facebook.
If you thought Facebook was running out of ways to help you bombard your friends' news feeds, think again. Eventually, these GIFs will remain useless outside Facebook.
Facebook had instead put the emphasis on video, which also bring a lively quality to the News Feed. Videos are something that you can monetize.
You can only share GIFs on Facebook. Now it's going yet another step further by testing a GIF creator.
