Not to mention rewarding fans who wait in line-sometimes extremely long lines-in order to get into panels at events like Disney's D23 expo to see exclusive new footage. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's going to make its way online (perhaps next weekend at Comic-Con?), but in the meantime, Entertainment Weekly has put together a detailed description of what was shown, and it certainly sounds epic.
Included on stage was Josh Brolin/Thanos, Paul Bettany/Vision, Elizabeth Olsen/Scarlet Witch, Pom Klementieff/Mantis, Karen Gillan/Nebula, Dave Bautista/Drax, Don Cheadle/War Machine, Anthony Mackie/Falcon, Benedict Cumberbatch/Doctor Strange, Tom Holland/Spider-Man, Sebastian Stan/Winter Soldier, Chadwick Boseman/Black Panther, Mark Ruffalo/Hulk, Chris Hemsworth/Thor, and of course Robert Downey Jr./Iron Man. Joe Russo, one of the directors of the film, also took the stage. (Iron Man). With half of the cast on stage, Feige revealed the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War.
The fourth Avengers film will go into production right after as they are being filmed consecutively.
The clip apparently sees Thor saying that something is wrong before cutting to a scene where Tom Hiddleston's Loki is seen with the Tesseract. Spider-Man is on a school bus.
Peter also gets a chance to debut the shiny new Spider-Man duds that Tony Stark presented him with at the end of Homecoming, and the red, blue and black ensemble looks super slick against the backdrop of explosions and mayhem seen in the trailer. Black Widow is blonde! Thanos himself - came onstage to talk about Avengers: Infinity War.
Avengers: Infinity War opens on April 27th 2018 in the United Kingdom and May 4th 2018 in the USA and will feature an all-star cast including Robert Downey Jr.
