It appears, though, that there are some in Lebanon who hope the film is banned from their country entirely.
Wonder Woman, starring Israeli actress Gal Gadot in the title role, has a 96% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
But a group called Campaign to Boycott Supporters of Israel-Lebanon wants the movie with a former Miss Israel and army soldier shunned. The Ministry of the Interior would then have to approve the recommendation for it to go into effect.

But Elie Fares, a Lebanese blogger, said the movie apparently has been green-lighted, since theaters are getting ready to show it. "A movie about an iconic superhero who's been part of pop culture for over 70 years".
Especially after she showed public support for Israeli troops as the country led a military offensive in Gaza back in 2014. Religious institutions also have a say in artwork with religious references. It is scheduled for release June 22 in Oman and June 29 in Bahrain.
The embargo for Wonder Woman has lifted, and the latest chapter of the DC Extended Universe is proving to be a huge hit with critics, with many reviews hailing the Amazon Princess' solo movie to be the best DC offering since The Dark Knight.
