And if you are among the very few Sooner faithful who do not know, you know now.

Washington will play the victor of the Texas A&M-UCLA game Saturday in an elimination game.

Washington pitcher Taran Alvelo (32-8) went six innings and gave up five hits and two earned runs for the Huskies (49-13).

The Gators continued the hit parade in the second inning when they scored three runs for a 4-0 advantage.

Oklahoma's Fale Aviu scored in the second inning when she avoided a tag at home.

"I think going into Sunday, everybody else is going to beat each other up, and then we get into Sunday, and we'll be rested and ready for whoever comes our way", Gasso said.

OU will face whoever emerges from Washington (49-13), No. 3 OR and No. 15 Baylor at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

The win is vital because now OU can rest Saturday and get ready to play either LSU, Baylor or OR on Sunday afternoon with the chance to advance to the championship series.

Oklahoma's Paige Parker pitches in the first inning of the Women's College World Series softball game against Washington in Oklahoma City, Friday, June 2, 2017.

Oklahoma coach Patty Gasso has great respect for Florida's program. Only UCLA, among teams in this year's WCWS field, has more World Series wins than the Sooners.

Oklahoma advanced to the semifinals of the Women's College World Series thanks to the left arm of Paige Parker and the feet of Fale Aviu.

The victor of that game will need to beat the Sooners twice in order to clinch a spot in the WCWS Final. The teams have combined to win the past four national titles, but are meeting for the first time in the championship series.

"The experience that I had last year in the World Series was really helpful coming into this year, just being able to kind of settle in a little bit easier this year", Parker said. But here is the telling stat: Parker has won her past 15 postseason decisions. The defense responded with a stellar performance versus Washington, and sophomore Sydney Romero, who had two errors in the Baylor game, knows they will continue to get better. But fielding may just be the best part of their game.
