It was, to those who would like to see a Karan-Arjun reunion, the next best thing to an actual film together. "When Kabir narrated the script, that time only he said that he wants Shah Rukh for the cameo. Later I called up Shah Rukh and described the scene, and he readily agreed".
When Salman asked Matin if he remembered the first day of the shoot, he said, "Yes, I remember the place where I threw up. Try and understand the point that is being made and in its context", he added. Of course, Salman Khan's superstardom has only elevated with every passing year which means despite the promo not really making the film an irresistible affair, at least a good opening is guaranteed. In January, he was spotted on the sets of Tubelight in Mumbai's Film City.
However, when asked Amar Butala, COO of Salman Khan Films about it, he said, "We are hopeful and the process going on".
Fans are eagerly waiting for Salman Khan starrer Tubelight and one of the significant reasons is Shah Rukh Khan's cameo in it. It is the first time that he and Salman will be in a film together after 2002's Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam.
Details of SRK's role haven't been revealed - something's gotta be a surprise, come on - but director Kabir Khan did tell Indian Express in May, "It was a role screaming for a superstar cameo otherwise I wouldn't have". I find it gimmicky. He asked, "Apko kaisa lag raha hai, ki aap ka beta is pictures mai kaam kar raha hai.' (How do you feel that your son working in this film)". We went to him with the role and he was kind enough to agree.
Talking about the constant absence of 'Tubelight's Chinese actress Zhu Zhu missing from the promotions and will she be seen promoting the film, Kabir Khan revealed, "Zhu Zhu is very busy in China".
Mumbai: 'Tubelight's special event turned out to be one hell of a gala night as the world finally met the already child sensation of the film - Matin Rey Tangu!
