Everything you love and everything you might hate about Crosby was on display in Game 5.

It was all even in Game 5, which didn't go unnoticed to Peter Laviolette as far as differences in play.

In theory, yes. But not always in practice.

Game 4 of the 2017 Stanley Cup Final on NBC, in which the Predators defeated the Penguins 4-1 in NASHVILLE on Monday night, averaged a Total Audience Delivery (TAD) of 5.737 million viewers, up 34% vs. last year's Game 4 between the Penguins and San Jose Sharks (4.291 million), and surpassing every game of last year's Stanley Cup Final, including the Cup-clinching Game 6 on NBC. He took over. And he led. "We still need one more game, one more win".

"I think it says a lot about the people we have. they have a real appetite to win", Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan told reporters Friday morning, mere hours after Pittsburgh's convincing 6-0 victory over the Nashville Predators in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final. "I was with a friend who then put on his yellow shirt and we scored again!" The Penguins became the first team to get to six before the second intermission in a final game since Colorado against Florida in 1996. Sidney Crosby stamped his authority just seconds in, knifing through the Nashville defense to ring the post on a backhand chance, drawing a penalty in the process.

Local fans of such as Bobby Orr and Larry Robinson might also lean towards Nashville, because the Predators play a more free-flowing, defencemen-involved kind of offence. He insists it was accidental.

"We made mistakes in front of him", Laviolette said. Crosby also moved into a tie with Denis Potvin for 19th on the all-time career playoff scoring list. I mean I know it's perfectly legal to drop the gloves and physically assault each other within the confines of the game, but can you really bash a guy's skull into the ice like this?

It's as if two different goalies show up at the rinks. The good one makes his appearances at Bridgestone Arena.

And he typically plays the right way, though Crosby's definition of "right" can be altered to fit the moment. However, Crosby denied commenting anything about Subban's breath. It seems simply part of the territory in June.

Crosby's actions bring back a reoccurring question of why do many White athletes get away with having the "bad boy" image?

And yet, Josi, who has been Nashville's best defencemen in the playoffs, was not prepared to take a bow for his efforts.

Both players received minor penalties. "But that's what a leader does". The last nine months have only emphasized Crosby's resilience. His playoffs appeared to be in jeopardy when he took a crosscheck to the face from Washington's Matt Niskanen in the second round. Allen, who is White, received a one-game suspension after tripping multiple players on the floor during games throughout his Duke career. Guentzel's assist moved him into a tie with Dino Ciccarelli and Ville Leino for the most playoff points by a rookie in National Hockey League history (21).

The Penguins scored two goals early and added a third before the end of the first period.

Ron Hainsey avoiding a big hit and carrying the puck from end to end isn't what the Pittsburgh Penguins ask of him or any other defenseman not named Kris Letang. Crosby, perhaps more than anyone else, is well aware the job is not yet finished.
