The company's Thresher Ultimate headsets will have separate models for Microsoft's Xbox One and Sony's PlayStation 4 consoles.
Razer rates the drivers for 12 Hz to 28 kHz, and combined with the Dolby Headphone technology, these should deliver good sound quality for a wireless headset. Through the Thresher Ultimate is primarily aimed at console games, both versions are compatible with PC and offer numerous same benefits. Both connect over 2.4GHz wireless, instead of Bluetooth, and offer a range of about 150 feet with direct line of site or around 60 to 70 feet if there are obstructions in the way. The versions for each console is decked out in color highlights that are representative of the consoles, so that's blue for the PlayStation 4 and green for the Xbox One.
Razer has launched a new wireless gaming headset for two of the most popular gaming consoles on the market.
Not that we're complaining - it's a proven design and should be just as comfy with large, noise-isolating leatherette ear cushions. You can also get a pair of cooling-gel infused ear cushions to extend the length of wearing them. Built-in controls help you control the master and mic volume. Battery life, meanwhile, is rated at 16 hours while recharging them fully should take four hours. The headset is created to work up to 40 feet away from its station, which Razer says makes it the most reliable wireless console headset to date.
The Thresher Ultimate headphones will cost $250 when they ship later in June.
The Thresher Ultimate is available for pre-order now for $249.99 United States dollars, and will be available worldwide in July.
