Ananya, of Fresno, California, won the Scripps National Spelling Bee on Thursday after numerous rounds against Rohan Rajeev.

"I'm not laying down for this guy", she said in one defiant moment.

Ananya was crowned the victor of the 90th Scripps National Spelling Bee held in Oxon Mill, Maryland, a suburb of the nation's capital.
