These are the first subpoenas to come from the panel, issued by Chairman Rep. Mike Conaway and ranking member Rep. Adam Schiff.
The committee had issued subpoenas for documents from two businesses Flynn operated - Flynn Intel LLC and Flynn Intel, Inc. - with a list of documents they wanted after Flynn stonewalled the panel. "We will continue to pursue this investigation wherever the facts may lead", their statement said. In that role, Flynn was reportedly paid more than $500,000, but failed to register as a foreign agent with the Justice Department. The person says Flynn plans to produce documents by next week.
Meanwhile, Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin sounded similar tones as they criticized the ongoing USA scrutiny of Russia's attempts to sway the presidential election.
Earlier Tuesday, The Associated Press reported, citing a congressional aide, that the House intelligence committee had subpoenaed Cohen.
Complying with the subpoena, Flynn will submit all the documents related to the businesses but fewer documents will be provided in response to the the personal subpoena after negotiations with the Senate committee.
Michael Cohen spent years as the main lawyer for the Trump Organization, the president's New York-based real estate and entertainment business.
"I leaked nothing, to nobody, and never have and never would", Rice said.
Flynn's attorneys said the documents will be handed over by the committee's June 6 deadline.
"To date, there has not been a single witness, document or piece of evidence linking me to this fake Russian conspiracy, " Cohen said in a text message to USA TODAY on Tuesday.

Cohen is one of several Trump associates under scrutiny in a Federal Bureau of Investigation examination of contacts between Trump's campaign and Russian Federation, according to the New York Times.
Associates have said Comey wrote internal memos describing certain interactions with Trump that gave him pause in the months after his election, including details of a dinner in which he claimed the president asked him to pledge his loyalty, and a request to shut down the investigation of a former top aide.
He reportedly was involved in a back-channel plan, which never came to fruition, which would have involved a peace agreement between Russian Federation and Ukraine, and the lifting of USA sanctions against Moscow.
