Hague hit the canvas extremely hard, forcing the referee to stop the fight. He had to have surgery to [relieve] the pressure from his brain bleeding.
A statement from KO Boxing, who put on the match is expected later.
He was able to get back to his feet and stumble backstage, but fell seriously ill just minutes later and was rushed to hospital.
"Tim is now with all his immediate family".
MMA reporter Mike Russell revealed on Saturday that Hague suffered a seizure in the locker room and went into a coma. Hague had a 21-13 record in MMA, including a 1-4 record inside the Octagon with his only win his only win being a submission over Pat Barry at UFC 98.
The 34-year-old swapped the UFC cage for the boxing ring last year after a rough run of form that saw him knocked out in four of his last five MMA fights.
Hague grew up playing a variety of sports, enjoying hockey in particular, and began working out and lifting weights when his parents gave him a gym membership as a graduation gift after high school.
