More Big Brother 2017 housemates may have been revealed ahead of tonight's launch show.

Sounds like a move that's guaranteed to caused friction among the housemates, six of whom have already been announced.

Tonight (June 5th) marks the day that we're all going to have to kiss goodbye to our social lives - not that we had one anyways - because Big Brother the civilian version, not the celebrity one - is returning to our screens - the very same day as Love Island.

The source added that Hayley is on "standby" for BB, but said: "Ellie is their biggest name and they have high hopes she will win the show".

"Ellie knows it is a better opportunity for her".

Whether or not any of them are indeed part of the BBUK cast will only be revealed tonight.

Channel 5 confirmed today that one spot on the line-up is up for grabs this evening, and YOU will be able to choose who gets the last spot from a selected line-up of potential housemates. Unlike previous years, the 2017 show has a super exciting twist which involves the help of all of the show's viewers.

The lucky housemate voted in will become the People's Housemate and will hold great power - including access to the outside world. The confirmed line up so far includes Ex On The Beach star Kayleigh Morris, Dreamboys' stripper Lotan Carter (oioi), sisters Hannah and Deborah Agboola and husband and wife duo Imran and Sukvinder Javeed.

For the first time ever Big Brother is handing over power to the public.

Big Brother kicks off tonight at 8.30pm on Channel 5 while Love Island starts at 9pm on ITV2.
