Theresa May has said Donald Trump was "wrong" to criticise Sadiq Khan over his handling of the London Bridge attacks, and praised the London Mayor who, she said, had been "doing a good job".
Counter-terrorism officers secretly recorded an alleged ISIL-inspired terror cell in East London's Barking borough last month discussing how to use YouTube to plot a van and knife attack in London, The Daily Telegraph can reveal.
"By standing together as a city we will send a powerful message here and around the world - that Londoners will never be cowed by terrorism", Khan said.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian was due to visit Britain on Monday to speak to the injured French nationals, after President Emmanuel Macron said France was "more than ever at Britain's side".

Islamic State, which is losing territory in Syria and Iraq to an offensive backed by a US -led coalition, said its militants were responsible for the attack, though it is unclear what links the attackers had to the group.
"A detachment of fighters from Islamic State carried out London attacks", said the Amaq news agency, which is affiliated with the jihadists.
Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne said in a tweet that Canadian hearts were heavy with the news of the violence in London.
Saturday's events came less than two weeks after a terrorist bombing killed 22 people in the city of Manchester, and is the third major terrorist attack to hit England in the last three months.
There are four patients being treated at University College Hospital in central London, one of whom is receiving critical care.
He said in a tweet that he was "heartbroken to learn that a Canadian is among those who lost their lives".
A similar terror attack on Westminster Bridge close to the Houses of Parliament took place in March.
"Without hesitation, wearing his normal clothes, he dived in and tried to assist and I'm afraid was severely injured but utterly heroic", she told BBC television.
