This means iced espresso or brewed coffee drinks with coffee cubes won't taste watery after sitting in the sun.
Would you add coffee ice cubes to your Starbucks iced coffee drink?
Hate having your coffee water down by ice cubes?
So hats off to Starbucks, which is trying to end that crime by testing its own coffee ice at about a hundred Baltimore and St. Louis cafés. Starbucks had past year provided step-by-step instructions on how to make coffee ice cubes and it is a very easy process too. The company said if consumer-reaction is favorable the coffee cubes could be available in NY soon, perhaps in time for summer.
A Starbucks spokesperson says they'll get feedback from customers and employees before deciding whether to expand it nationwide.
Although, you could probably ask for your barista to add the caffeinated ice to your Frappuccino for an extra kick.
