Doesn't look like it'll be a washout though.
Friday afternoon skies go from mostly cloudy to partly cloudy, which means afternoon temps will take off quickly to 70 degrees or a bit warmer and winds NW turning SW 5-10 miles per hour. Winds will begin to subside tonight. Clouds will increases in the afternoon. The storms will drop southward producing possible damaging wind gusts, hail, and intense lightning.
Saturday will bring hotter conditions with highs approaching 90 for Upstate areas, with a chance for a late day pop-up storm.
Rain showers are much more likely Sunday both in the morning and then again in the afternoon with a few breaks in the action. So be on alert for a possible strong to severe storm after 9 p.m., especially in locations north if I-20. Highs tomorrow will be in the 80s.
Memorial Day will bring another round of afternoon and evening storms, but they won't be everywhere! Most of us will see a mix of sun and clouds. We'll start the day with partly cloudy skies, followed by increasing clouds in the afternoon.
A cold front will move through the area on Memorial Day. Wind will likely be the biggest concern with any storms that we experience, but if storms arrive as soon as Futurecast indicates Saturday evening, a few tornadoes will also be possible. Highs will be in the upper 80s.
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 60s. PM showers/storms (40%). Highs in the mid 80s.
