The Indian Army on Tuesday said it had attacked Pakistani military posts and inflicted "some damage" along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir in a recent "punitive assault" as part of the counter-terror strategy to stop cross-border militant incursion.
They also claimed that the video has clear visibility of editing marks, and therefore, must be deemed to be unreliable and incorrect. In the past also, the Indian side had claimed of carrying out surgical strikes inside Pakistan but failed to provide any evidence in this regard and resultantly the claim made the country a laughing stock in the world.
India had launched a massive fire assault along the LoC to destroy Pakistani posts and bunkers along with killing of Pakistan Army personnel and terrorists sitting there.
A top United States official has said that India is moving towards isolating Pakistan and is considering punitive actions. "There was no such incident or related injury to any solider reported in the last few days", officials said.
Pakistan Army spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor in a brief statement claimed that India on May 13 had targeted innocent civilians.
The 87-second video purportedly shows heavy-artillery pounding several Indian positions, which were completely destroyed.
"The Pakistan Air Force has made all its forward operating bases operational in response to India's threats", claimed media reports coming from Islamabad.
Talking to reporters Mr Dujarric said, UNMOGIP military observers accompanied by Pakistani Army escorts heard gunshots in Bhimber district in Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Army sources also added that there was no unusual movement along the LoC. According to PAF, Aman met the pilots and the fighter squadron carried out higher and lower altitude flights.
The Pakistan Air Chief flew a Mirage jet himself and was quoted as having told the media, "Our response to any Indian aggression will be remembered by their coming generations". He also said the "nation should not worry about the enemy's statements".
