The DSS had arrested Mr. Ubah over allegations of "economic sabotage" and diversion of petroleum products to the tune of N11 billion.
He said the investigation into the matter "took on a wider dimension".
The DSS made a fresh application for Ubah's continued detention because the previous court order it obtained on May 10 expired on Wednesday, May 24.
The counsel said it was as a result of the agency's inability to "conclude investigation" within the initial 14 days granted it to detain Ubah.
"There is nothing placed before the court to show that Ubah is having any ailment that required him to be moved out of the DSS detention facility to a better health facility", the court said.
Similarly, a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory sitting at Jabi, on Thursday, granted the DSS the nod to hold Ubah, for another 14 days, Vanguard reports.
