Back in 2015, Kali Uchis exploded onto the scene with her debut mixtape Por Vida. Now, more than a year later, the Pereira-born artist's next chapter has finally started.

Kali Uchis has shared new single "Tyrant" - featuring vocals from Jorja Smith.

Jorja Smith recently appeared onstage at Drake's epic O2 Arena run, and her material is racking up some imposing streaming statistics. It's an effortless number, taking Uchis' work in a new direction, without compromising her style or moving too far out of her personal paradigm.

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe, Kali noted that her next album would include the talents of Kevin Parker of Tame Impala, Damon Albarn from Gorillaz and Bootsy Collins.

"Tyrant" is her first solo single since 2016, and comes ahead of her debut which is expected later this year.
