The latest building to give in during renovation is a 3 storey building situated on Daddy Alaja street, Oke-Arin, on the Lagos Island.

Adesina Tiamiyu, general manager of the Lagos State Emergency Managment Agency (LASEMA), disclosed this in a statement.

This is the fourth building to have collapsed in Lagos in less than months.

Officials of the National Emergency Management Agency and State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) are now at the scene of the incident.

No fewer than 14 others were injured and rescued alive from the debris by emergency workers.

PM News gathered that the collapsed three-storey building was being renovated with people inside when it caved in.

He added that proper investigation would be carried out by the relevant agencies to ascertain the actual circumstances leading to the collapsed of the building.

The building collapsed with two persons reported dead while scores feared trapped.
