The wealthy Matthews has shunned the spotlight, but his brother Spencer Matthews has compensated for that with his role on the reality TV show "Made in Chelsea". Mr Matthews waited in the wings through Ms Middleton's relationship with Nicko Jackson and when that ended, in 2015, bam, James made his move.
It is understood that a firm which has worked with Prince Harry, Boultbee Flight Academy, will be organising Pippa's vintage aircraft fly-past, which will feature two Spitfires, and is estimated to be costing around $37,000. While some report suggests around 150 guests are expected to attend, several other reports suggest that there will be more than 300 guests.
Pippa and James are set to tie the knot on Saturday May 20 in St Mark's Church, Englefield.
A number of British-based designers are thought to be likely contenders for one of the most highly anticipated commissions of the year, including Jenny Packham, Erdem, Giles Deacon and Philippa Lepley.
The wedding will be a chance for younger royals to come to the fore following the announcement earlier this month that Queen Elizabeth II's 95-year-old husband Prince Philip will retire from public duties later this year.
A woman who answered his phone on Friday said he would not be able to talk about it because he had "signed a no comment contract".
The ceremony is taking place at the picturesque St Mark's Church in Berkshire, near where the Middleton girls grew up. The 35-year-old Suits actress has been invited to the ceremony.
This was regardless of whether those who lived in the parish were Anglican or not, it added.
According to various media reports, the house has an underground cinema and a gym, which means that super fit Middleton can workout in the privacy of her own home without being followed by the paparazzi.
Metal barriers were erected around the church as security arrived on the scene just 24 hours before the couple will say their vows.
"Apart from all the extra traffic it's not going to affect me personally. Very few people have seen the finished thing".
He added he did not think the wedding party would be dropping in for a dram of whisky from the club's stock of single malts.
"She wants to ensure it doesn't disappoint and numerous guests will be used to the very best".
But Kate has already confessed to a Buckingham Palace garden party guest that she is a little apprehensive about how her children will behave.
Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, and Middleton's big sister, Kate, will be among the guests.
