In a recent interview whilst out and about promoting Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, writer and director James Gunn confirmed that one of the key characters from the movie will be coming back in episode three, which Gunn has just started writing. Now, thanks to writer/director James Gunn, we have word on a new character from Vol. 2 who will be back for the sequel that is said to conclude the story for this iteration of the team. Though Ayesha, played by Elizabeth Debicki, is responsible for Adam's creation, fans have been wondering if the Sovereign villain would be returning for the third film.
Gunn confirmed that he intends on having Debicki reprise her role as Ayesha.
"I absolutely plan on bringing Elizabeth Debicki back".
If you've seen the movie and watched the bonus scenes during the end credits, there is a big tease for Adam Warlock, the artificially created superbeing who takes on Thanos in the comics but will likely have a different arc on the screen.
Rounding out the top 10 films of the weekend were "The Circle" ($4 million); "Baahubali: The Conclusion" ($3.4 million); "Gifted" ($2 million); "Smurfs: The Lost Village" ($1.84 million); and "Going in Style" ($1.8 million).
