Police said Amy Rebello-McCarthy, 39, was driving drunk and blew almost double the legal limit.
Taunton Police say Amy Rebello-McCarthy went on a drunken joyride in her 1999 Mercedes on Monday afternoon.
Before the pair was taken to the police department, Rebello-McCarthy told officers she had a bearded dragon lizard with her.Photo courtesy Taunton Police Department.
The man was also arrested when police discovered he had a handgun in the waistband of his trousers. The gun turned out to be an air soft replica, and Kyewalyanga was placed in protective custody.

Police added that when questioned, Rebello-McCarthy could barely string a sentence together, instead "slurring" her words, laughing and drooling.
Witnesses said she emerged from the auto and was standing next to it when the male passenger jumped into the driver's side to try to drive the vehicle from the garden to the road. She reportedly asked the officers for a tow truck so that she could go home.
"That may have been possible if all four tires hadn't been flattened in the crash, if all the airbags hadn't deployed and both bumpers hadn't been ripped off", police wrote in a statement they posted to Facebook.
Hidden in Rebello-McCarthy's bra was a bearded dragon lizard.
Her male companion also seemed under the influence, as he could not recall his first or last name.
It wasn't until she was placed in the back of a squad vehicle that her arrest took an unexpected, cold-blooded turn. It may be the root beer vodka, or it may be the lizard in her bra. "She couldn't talk", Berglund said.
The Taunton Police Department responded to the crash around 1:30 in the afternoon earlier this week after the vehicle went off the road and into a lawn.
McCarthy was charged with operating under the influence, among other violations. It faces no charges at this time'.
