An off-duty female police officer was among the victims of the Manchester Arena bomb attack.
The UK police have identified a man they suspect of having perpetrated the attacker as 22-year-old Salman Abedi. Before his arrest, he told reporters his son was innocent. "They arrested the father, and I think the rest of the family kind of disappeared".
The girl's mother was also badly injured in the suicide bombing and may not know her little girl is dead, according to multiple reports. "Our Radcliffe community will do all we can to support John's family".
Greater Manchester Police today said that they are investigating a network in connection with the bombing.
Manchester remained on high alert, with additional armed police drafted in.
